(Stevia rebaudiana) AKA Sweetleaf. Tropical shrub with edible leaves many times sweeter than sugar. Use fresh or dry for tea, coffee, sauces, and so on. Try steeping a handful of fresh mint leaves with a few stevia leaves for a fabulously refreshing tea. Used by native peoples of Brazil and Paraguay for centuries, and gaining popularity here in the US. Grow as annual or overwinter indoors.
