We trialed Rutgers for market in 2009, and were quite impressed with it! A high-yielding variety with loads of beautiful round red fruits with a full old-time tomato flavor. Developed by Rutgers University and Campbell's Soup for the canning industry, this variety is perfect for saucing and canning, but is also a wonderful fresh eating tomato. Few seeds and very meaty.
