Swiss chard is one awesome green! Not only is it super nutritious, its also delicious and quite versatile. Its wonderful simply wilted in olive oil with a little garlic, or picked as "baby" greens and used fresh in salads. We have been incorporating it into almost everything we cook - including soup, pasta, pizza, scalloped potatoes, enchiladas, omelettes, and stratas. We did mention versatile, right? Easy to grow too, and one spring planting will last well into fall. About 50 days.
